Biography

Francisco Norman graduated from the University of Florida in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. He is a member of the Emergency Medicine Fellowship Ultrasound Leadership Academy. Francisco is also the Chair of the ACEP’s Ultrasound APP subcommittee; President and Co-Founder of The Society of Physician Assistants in Clinical Ultrasound; Director of the Heart of Florida Regional Hospital Emergency Room Clinical Ultrasound Program; Medical Director of the ULA PA Fellowship program; and Board member of the Society of Ultrasound in Medical Education. Francisco is the author of the Respiratory Assessment and Sonographic Protocol chapter of Ultrasound for Primary Care (Pre-print Wolters Kluwer) as well as the co-author of the AAPA Clinical Ultrasound Guidelines, currently in the HOD Legislative process to become national policy. Francisco is currently practicing clinical emergency medicine in Central Florida with an interest in critical care, teaching and increasing the utilization of clinical ultrasound in underserved areas.
